Grand Isle:
Inspired by the fishing village of the same name, Grand Isle is a classic, casual eatery featuring fresh seafood and down-home favorites.
Trumpet was retained early in the concept development process to create the comprehensive visual identity for the restaurant. Our process considered all possibilities for meaningful points of connection with customers and partners including trademark, signage and menu design, and details such as napkins, placemats, water carafes and merchandise.
The resulting image communicates quality and craftsmanship, with a slightly nostalgic nod to the roots of the concept. The trademark is classic yet effective in a contemporary context, while the signage incorporates materials and scale that speak to a regard for bygone artisanship (complete with flapping neon fish tail). The remaining design elements collectively support the brand experience with cues that contribute to an atmosphere where the details are considered. Because you are where you eat.
